Did you know that IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) membership is not just for women? Did you know that membership is free for IEEE student, graduate student, and life members? IEEE Region 10 WIE Committee is committed to spreading awareness about these two points and we are inviting the WIE community to design and share infographics to send the message with us this year. The most creative and beautiful designs will be made into banners to be displayed at each of the three R10 flagship conferences and gifted to the winning WIE affinity groups at the end of the year.
Purpose: To spread awareness that:
- Point 1: Men and women can join IEEE WIE.
- Point 2: WIE membership (normally USD$25, currently USD$12.50 for half-year for new members) is FREE for IEEE student, graduate student and life members (reference: https://www.ieee.org/membership-catalog/productdetail/showProductDetailPage.html?product=MEMWIE050 )
though the creative design ideas of the R10 WIE community.
Eligibility / Judging
Any WIE member in R10 can submit artwork that carries the message of WIE membership (Point 1 and/or Point 2 above).
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of the R10 director, vice chair of membership activities, WIE Committee members, and R10 WIE chairs and vice chairs who register as judges by each submission deadline.

- Call for submissions: April 10, 2026
- Deadline for designs for banner to be displayed at R10 TENSYMP 2026:
May 10, 2026extended to May 20, 2026 - Deadline for designs for R10 TENCON 2026 banner: July 10, 2026
- Deadline for designs for R10 HTC 2026 banner: August 10, 2026
Award instrument
The printed banners of the winning designs will be gifted to the WIE AGs/SBAGs of the entrants after all 2026 R10 flagship conferences have concluded.
Up to USD$50 will be provided for each winning WIE AG/SBAG to make additional prints of their infographic for display or distribution (e.g., posters, stickers, flyers, etc.).
